The biomass industry is responsible for the destruction of primary forests, pollution of communities, environmental racism and harm to many protected species. This is all being paid for with our money. Last year, Drax, the UKs single largest carbon emitter received £982.6 million in 'renewable' subsidies - coming from our energy bills. This is a disgusting use of public money, and actively making climate breakdown worse.
