On Friday 21st October 2022, groups and individuals around the world will be taking part in a special International Day of Action on Big Biomass and we’d love you to take part!

This year groups around the world aim to create a global ‘wave’ to raise awareness of the global environmental and social impacts of burning forest biomass. We will be focusing on Barclays which is helping to fund the UK’s single largest carbon emitter & the world’s biggest tree-burning power station, Drax.

Following the recent BBC Panorama investigation into Drax’s logging and burning of trees from some of the world’s most precious forests in Canada, awareness of the devastating impacts of biomass burning is growing.  Please help us spread the word further by joining us to call on Barclays Bank to stop funding Drax’s planet-wrecking tree burning.

Barclays wants you to think it is a climate-friendly bank which is supporting wildlife and investing in renewable energy.

However, Barclays is funding forest destruction, biodiversity loss, environmental injustice and climate-wrecking emissions through its investments in Drax’s tree burning.

Please help us to call on Barclays to stop letting our futures go up in smoke. It’s time for Barclays to #DropDrax!
